Where it all Began

The Leitao Insurance Agency was founded in 1983 by Francisco Leitao, who brought to the Insurance field the reputation for integrity he previously earned in construction and real estate. His son, Manuel A. Leitao, joined the firm in 1984. His son-in-law, James Bernardo, came to the company in 1990. His daughter, Kathleen Bernardo, an attorney with a Springfield law firm, is also a corporate officer.
